Soon after the Lakhimpur Kheri episode grew and killed at least 8 people, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government consisting of Shiv Sena
and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) concluded calling for a State Bandh after which the Samyukt Shetkari Kamgar Morcha (SSKM) will also be supporting the Maharashtra Government in this agitation programme.
In a recent Party Programme, the Nationalist Congress Party
(NCP) leader Sharad Pawar had directed that the State Bandh starting from October 11, should be peaceful and successful. Further, he stated that all the parties should join hands and fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP), the protest should be successful but the rules and regulations are also to be kept in mind when doing things this way, he said.
The support from the Samyukt Shetkari Kamgar Morcha (SSKM) came as an announcement they did in Mumbai. “Today each and everyone is in a shocking state of mind after the Lakhimpur Kheri murders, although the protest which was led out by the farmers in these 10 months was peaceful.
We demand that strict steps be taken against the son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra,” stated Shailendra Kamble of the Communist Party of India. Supporting this Prakash Reddy from the Communist Party of India (CPI) stated that the movement led out by farmers was on point and it was important to repeal those three laws.
