Maharashtra: MVA defeats BJP in Jalgaon District
Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2022, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government in a recent election to the Jalgaon District Central Cooperative Bank and has won a big bash over its opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The elections took place under the leadership of Eknath Khadse. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government consisting of Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won a total of 20 seats and on the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was able to only acquire 1 seat. Out of the total number of seats that is 21, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) acquired a total of 11 seats with Shiv Sena winning 7 seats, Congress 2 seats and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with only 1 seat.

The interesting fact here is that Khadse who in the present hails from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), last year left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and here won the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former minister Girish Mahajan, who is a close confidant of former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, was not able to showcase the actual powers.
“The work done in the past year has been acknowledged by the people, we thank them,” stated Eknath Khadse.

Ahead of the win, Eknath Khadse slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stating that when he was with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahajan was given importance in the party though he was the strong claimant for the post of Chief Minister. Ahead Khadse claimed that in the approaching Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2022, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government will defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
