A major question that has struck over the time with Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s illness is till then what? Is Saamna Editor Rashmi Thackeray or Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader MP Supriya Sule going to replace Uddhav Thackeray? Is Maharashtra will soon be getting a new chief minister? These are some of the speculations that are being made due to the cervical spine surgery, the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is likely to be hospitalized for 6 months.

The current stay of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray who is well known for not giving his position to even the deputy CM in his absence has provoked several speculations from the opposition to name directly, its exact opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). But denying all these speculations, the Shiv Sena which rules the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government consisting of Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has stated that neither a new Chief Minister is going to be appointed nor the current Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is going to exit.

Some of the Shiv Sena insiders state that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will at least take 2 months to recover from the surgery which is currently in process and soon after that will continue to head the Maharashtra Government. “Chief Minister is in his recovery stage and is going through physiotherapy under the supervision of senior doctors at HN Reliance Hospital, the recent meeting of state cabinet was accompanied by the Chief Minister virtually, will soon resume the work,” stated Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s Media Advisor.

As the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) completed its two years, the Union Minster Narayan Rane, taking a jibe at the party stated that next year there will be Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruling the state of Maharashtra. This statement from the Union Minister Narayan Rane came at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis and party president Chandrakant Patil, as well as Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar with his party MP Praful Patel, visited New Delhi at the same time. This visit of the leaders together in the national capital has ignited major speculations.
