BJP President Chandrakant Patil questions, why the leaders of MVA were silent over IT departments probe against the building
Attacking the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party president Chandrakant Patil on Saturday asked that why the leaders were silent on a media report about the Income Tax department attaching a `benami` property in South Mumbai. The same property in South Mumbai was under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate when it investigated a senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) minister, stated Chandrakant Patil in a recent tweet, presenting the report in a Marathi Newspaper.

“I believed that Sanjayrao would keep his points on this, but he didn’t speak a word as he is the political guru or Nana. No one from the party spoke about it,” stated Chandrakant Patil referring to spokesperson of Shiv Sena Sanjay Raut, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar and the State Congress Chief Nana Patole. Further stating sarcastically Chandrakant Patil stated that, at least they should have stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was misusing the power as the usually said dialogue.

Recently, the Income Tax Department had attached Al-Jabriya court building at Marine Drive in Maharashtra’s south Mumbai under the Benami Properties Act. And an earlier probe against the company stated that it did not have adequate funds so that they could purchase the building, which values at Rs 100 crores. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigated the building and claimed money laundering case against the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Chhagan Bhujbal.
