In the wake of the BJP and MNS calling for a ban on loudspeakers in mosques, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut stated on Sunday that an attempt was made to disrupt Maharashtra's calm. In response to recent acts of violence on Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti, Raut claimed that the country's atmosphere was being purposefully vitiated in order to achieve political advantage in elections.

"We're not going to let that happen," Raut stated. He was mocking MNS president Raj Thackeray, referring to him as the new "Hindu Owaisi." "On Hanuman Jayanti in Maharashtra, too, a 'Hindu Owaisi' went to great lengths to disrupt the tranquilly." "There have been concerted efforts to cause unrest in Maharashtra, but the people and police have remained patient and strong," he remarked. Raj Thackeray was singled out by Raut for giving the state government a deadline of May 3 to remove loudspeakers from mosques.

"The 'Hindu Owaisi' has been identified by certain loudspeakers. The government may have been consulted about the problem of loudspeakers atop mosques. However, the goal was to create a law-and-order scenario in order to fulfil the BJP's desire to impose President's rule in the state, according to Raut.

Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena MP, stated on Sunday that a conference of non-BJP chief ministers is likely to be organised in Mumbai shortly to examine the country's current political crisis. Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, has written to the chief ministers of non-BJP-ruled states, emphasising the importance of discussing the country's current predicament, he added.
"NCP President Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray have talked about it, and plans are in the works to organise a meeting in Mumbai," Raut added.
