Will Kripashankar & Rane Play an important role in winning the Upcoming BMC elections for BJP

After the joining of former Congress leader Kripashankar Singh in BJP and induction of Narayan Rane in Union Cabinet, an estimation is being made that it could impact the approaching Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. The Shiv Sena and Congress earlier denied the proposal that the two leaders were in a situation to sweep the crucial civic elections and stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) dream to win the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation would never come true. 

 

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the BMC elections launched the ‘Mission BMC 2022’ campaign. Shiv Sena which has been leading the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for almost three decades now has tough competition with the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which is trying its level best to seize power. In the 2017, BMC elections the BJP won just two seats lesser than the Shiv Sena, now looks to lead India’s richest civic body this time around. 

 

The annual budget of BMC comprises Rs 39,038.83 that beats the budget of many smaller states.  There is much importance of a party who’s controlling the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) because that party then has full control of the country’s financial capital. 

 

“We just needed two seats earlier, but this time we believe that we will cross the mark and win. The entry of former Mumbai Pradesh Congress president Kripashankar in the BJP is going to help us.” Stated Atul Bhatkhalkar who is in charge of BJP’s ‘Mission BMC’. 

 

“The reason why I joined the BJP was very clear that it inspired me by its ideology. I will try my level best and serve the party as they want me to” stated former Mumbai Congress Chief, Kripashankar Singh who resigned from the Congress in 2019 after which estimations were being made of him joining the BJP.
