What is BJP’s step-by-step method of targeting Shiv Sena leaders on Konkan landholdings?

In a recent viral video where visuals of Shiv Sena’s Secretary Milind Narvekar bulldozing his seaside bungalow at Murud village in Ratnagiri can be seen. After which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had alleged that environmental violations have taken place in that area of Ratnagiri.

This allegation was led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirit Somaiya against the close aide of the chief minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray, Milind Narvekar. This allegation is the latest aggressive step taken out by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has been aiming at the senior leaders of the Shiv Sena on their landholdings in the Konkan belt.

After the city of Mumbai, the Konkan belt is the strongest hold of the Shiv Sena in which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to develop its position. To fight, the game planned by the opposition goes step by step starting from— getting political tips regarding possible illegal constructions and supposed dodgy land deals, that a public outcry is raised, then a Right to Information (RTI) is filed requesting the local authorities after which the Right to Information (RTI) documents are levelled for allegations and lastly demand the central government to take necessary actions.

The series of allegations by the opposition began last year in November, attacking the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena leader Ravindra Waikar alleging that a land was purchased in Alibaug village but had “concealed” the information in their election affidavits. In January this year, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya filed a complaint with the State Election Commission and then in February, sent this information to the Investigating arm of the Income Tax office and asked for an investigation in this matter.
