NCP: Unpleasant statements were used by BJP leader Pravin Darekar against women and Party
In a recent rift, Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pravin Darekar has been registered with a First Information Report (FIR) for allegedly using offensive statements against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and a woman. Soon after the complaint was filed by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state women wing president Rupali Chakankar, the police registered the complaint under IPC Section 509 against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pravin Darekar.

The rift started taking place when on September 13, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pravin Darekar added fuel by stating that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is the party, that would kiss any painted face. But later on, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader stated that his words were misinterpreted. However, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) ignited and slammed the leader of the opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council stating that he has insulted a woman.

“Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is a powerful party as there are many powerful people in it who are well connected. They would kiss any painted face,” these were the exact words of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pravin Darekar, while he was addressing a gathering.

Soon after this statement came out, the state Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) women’s wing smacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and stated that “The women in the state of Maharashtra, has been insulted by Darekar. Though it is not new for them as their party has a history of doing so and he continued it. He should apologise or face the consequences.”

On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tried to explain that his statements were being misinterpreted, “A casual language was used by Darekar to prove his point. His statements are being taken out of context,” stated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Chandrakant Patil. “Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has no other issue to hide its failures in every place, so was using this issue to play up,” stated Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis.

“I do not fear of repeating those sentences, as I was only talking about the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the style of politics it uses. The poor people are always ignored by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) but Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has always taken a firm stand towards the betterment of the society,” stated Darekar.
