Chandrakant Patil, the minister of higher and technical education for Maharashtra, stated on Tuesday that there was no proposal under consideration by the BJP for a coalition with the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and that if there was, it would need to go before the 13-member core committee before a decision could be made. So far, no suggestion has been made. Following recent meetings between a number of BJP leaders and Raj Thackeray, as well as developing amity between the BJP and MNS, Patil made his statement.

Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister, Ashish Shelar, the head of the Mumbai unit, and a few other party officials recently met with the MNS leader, who specifically thanked Fadnavis for accepting his request in this regard to withdrawing the BJP candidate from the Andheri East by-election against the Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray nominee Rutuja Latke.

Raj Thackeray, the leader of the MNS, already declared at a previous party gathering that the party will run unopposed in the next BMC elections. There is currently no suggestion for a partnership between the BJP and MNS. There is also no conversation. The 13-member core committee must first hear a request for an alliance before deciding careful consideration. Therefore, no decision has been made yet, Patil reaffirmed.

As the state BJP leader in January of this year, Patil disqualified an alliance with MNS. However, he pointed out that the Hindutva route will benefit MNS politically. Patil made his statement a few days after Raj Thackeray and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde attended MNS's illumination of Shivaji Park.
Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister, claimed that Raj Thackeray had not engaged in any political conversation.
