The comments given by Narayan Rane are inappropriate but BJP will stand by him: Devendra Fadnavis

 

Further, in support of Narayan Rane, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the comments that have been made by Narayan Rane against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray would have been made unintentionally. The way Narayan Rane expressed the mistake done by the Chief Minister of forgetting the year of Independence was different. Attacking the state government, former Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis stated that the way the state government is taking actions against

 

Narayan Rane was highly objectionable and will not be supported. After these remarks from Narayan Rane came, there were violence and protests all over Maharashtra as well as Delhi. “The activists in the Shiv Sena are pelting stones into Narayan Rane’s bungalow stating that the Chief Minister has asked them to do so, how will these offences be registered and what investigation will take place into this chaos?” stated former Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. 

 

Further alleging the police of conducting investigations to please the government, Fadnavis stated that “The police should work within their legal framework, what does the Police Commissioner think he is?”  Responding to this, the alliance partner of Shiv Sena in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) stated that, this remark on Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray was a slap for all the MLAs and the people in the state. 

 

 

“One can be angry with the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray or the opposition may not like Chief Minister, but giving such remarks will not be forgiven by the state of Maharashtra. The time Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as Chief Minister, he very well knew his work. No one ever had given such contentious remarks against him,” stated Senior NCP leader Jayant Patil.
