In a recent order from the Bombay High Court, it has issued summons to the leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kirit Somaiya, demanding his or his advocate’s presence in the court on December 23 in a defamation suit which was filed by the leader of the Shiv Sena Anil Parab stating 100-crore damage.
The defamation suit was filed by the leader of Shiv Sena Anil Parab, on September 21 against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirit Somaiya for making wrong and malicious statements against him. The Shiv Sena leader in his defamation suit has demanded an apology and permanent injunction against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirit Somaiya from stating anything against him.
“On June 10, 2021, Mr. Somaiya took on to Twitter and stated about Mr. Parab on the construction work at Dapoli, Ratnagiri and those statements were malicious. And against in a series of a tweet, he tweeted that the Shiv Sena leader was engaged in criminal activities.
After which a legal notice was issued against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirit Somaiya by the Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab, which stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader should delete all the tweets which according to him were defamatory and give an apology for it, but there was no response towards the notice so a suit has been filed,” stated the suit filed against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader.
The suit further stated that a two-minute media spotlight and fame took out by the
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has spoiled the good name and reputation of the Shiv Sena leader. The suit adds that
Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab already is being questioned by his seniors and colleagues in the government from his political party and the family in this matter.
