As the tussle between both the
Shiv Sena and
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continues, with this comes the development of central agencies attacking a minister from the Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena government. This becomes more intense as the minister being question is the close aid of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Anil Parab who is in Uddhav Thackeray’s inner circle. But the Shiv Sena party is not concerned about the development, stated party insiders.
From the past year, notices have been sent to Shiv Sena leaders by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which includes legislator Pratap Sarnaik, MP Sanjay Raut’s wife and MP Bhawana Gawali. The target of most of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders is those who are close aids of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, including Milind Narvekar.
Anil Parab was sent a notice by the Enforcement Directorate on Sunday, to which he did not appear citing prior work meetings. The party insiders state that the notice of the Enforcement Directorate has been responded to by Anil Parab’s lawyers who asked for more time as the notice was served within 48 hours before the time, he was asked to be present.
Shiv Sena leader on this development stated that these actions against the Shiv Sena minister were expected as the Maharashtra Government had taken actions against the Union Minister Narayan Rane for his contentious statements against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The notices from the Enforcement Directorate come soon after the arrest of Union Minister Narayan Rane.
“That’s not an issue, as we are very well aware that the opposition party has gunsight to spot the enemies. If the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or the Enforcement Directorate (ED) think that we are the enemies of this country, they can continue keeping us on targets,” stated Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.
This is a crucial stand for both parties as to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections approach. Every action by each party will be examined with utmost attention as the series of allegations, speculations, and agitation continues. The
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections date was postponed to the next year 2022 due to the ongoing pandemic crisis.
