Shiv Sena to Contest BMC elections alone states Sanjay Raut
In the recent Rural Local body polls, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government in the state of Maharashtra consisting of Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) had success but regardless of this fact, the Shiv Sena Spokesperson Sanjay Raut stated that Shiv Sena will go solo in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections to be held in 2022.

The Shiv Sena earlier was in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but left the party citing the reason of difference in opinions. After which it decided to join hands with the Congress party and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to expand its reach in the city of Mumbai. Shiv Sena has been ruling the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), India’s richest corporation for more than two decades now and looks forward to expanding its party base in the city of Mumbai.

The Shiv Sena is all geared up for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections and looks forward to contesting in more than 200 seats and has set a target of around 100 seats out of 227 in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The declaration came from the Shiv Sena’s Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut, that the party would contest the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections 2022 all alone to enlarge its base in the city of Mumbai. He further stated that the view behind this decision of the Shiv Sena was just to enlarge the party.

“To enlarge the base of our party, we decided to fight the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2022 alone, as we look forward to getting more than 100 seats, even in the last Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections we had fought all alone,” stated Shiv Sena Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut.
