Mumbai: Shiv Sena not happy with NCP’s personal attack on the NCB officer Sameer Wankhede
After a recent attack from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik on Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede and his family, has created an uproar in the city of Mumbai. Soon after this the Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) ally has expressed their disapproval in this matter with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik and is upset for such personal attacks against the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede.

The Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) ally Shiv Sena expressed its disapproval stating that there was nothing wrong in criticising the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and their role in the cruise ship case, but interfering in their personal life and attacking them is wrong and something like this should not be done.

“There is no wrong that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik has spoken on this topic of drugs case and set out allegations and he is doing it from the start, as he lives in a democratic country, but with this, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik also needs to understand that he shouldn’t be dragging the personal life of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede,” stated the editorial in Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece Saamana.

The editorial further stated that said that there should obviously be criticism but it should only be restricted to actions that are being done by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and concerned officers. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCB) took a jibe at the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede by posting pictures of the officer's first marriage and also his birth certificates, raising questions on its authenticity.

Also, the Shiv Sena in its editorial slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the centre alleging that they are doing misuse of power by taking control on the Central Investigation Agencies against its opponents and slandering the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government in the state of Maharashtra.
