Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut attacks Centre over the Pegasus Spyware
Once again the Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleging that the party is making the four pillars of democracy weak by snooping with the help of an Israeli spyware Pegasus. The leader conveyed his shock as to how the Central government is not paying any attention even after the Supreme Court’s declaration that the Pegasus case if true is a serious concern for the nation.

“All the claims that are being made in the Pegasus case are serious in nature if the reports are correct,” stated the High Court on Thursday. Further, the High Court also asked the petitioners if they have done anything to file a criminal complaint on this matter.
“With the Pegasus spyware the Centre is trying to weaken the four pillars of democracy and if the opposition is trying to debate on this case it is being rejected. All this states that they don’t want to discuss this issue and also the farmer’s matter,” stated Sanjay Raut.

A report was given by an international media consortium that many verified mobile phone numbers, which includes two ministers who are serving currently, many journalists, opposition leaders, and a sitting judge. Some Businessmen of India are also being targeted through spyware. The report also stated that Israeli spyware can only be sold to government agencies. The government denied any such allegations.

When asked about the ongoing case of the Maratha quota, the Rajya Sabha leader attacked the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari for not clearing the state cabinet's suggestion for the appointment of 12 members from his quota to the state Legislative Council. “If he is not approving the names it does not mean that he is sticking to the constitution, but it is an insult to the state legislature and the people of Maharashtra,” stated Sanjay Raut.
