After a special court in this city granted party MP Sanjay Raut bail in a case involving money laundering on Wednesday, the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena faction declared, "Tiger is back." Sushma Andhare, a spokesperson for the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), told reporters that the party has nothing to fear as long as Raut is its leader.

Andhare, the vice head of the Thackeray-led Sena party, declared, "The Tiger is back." On July 31 of this year, Raut, a Rajya Sabha member, was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He is currently being held in judicial custody and is being held at Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail.

Rohit Pawar, the head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), tweeted a clip of a tiger being let loose from a cage along with the hashtag #raut. The Thackeray-led Sena faction's ally Pawar, whose party is one of them, told reporters that the truth had won out. Sunil Raut, a Vikhroli MLA and Sanjay Raut's brother, stated: "People's blessings were on Sanjay Raut. In order to ensure that the saffron flag is raised at the Vidhan Sabha, he will once more begin working for the party." The truth has won out, he continued.

For his alleged involvement in financial irregularities related to the reconstruction of the Patra Chawl (row tenement) in Suburban Goregaon, the ED detained Sanjay Raut. The ED, which is looking into the case and requested a stay of execution of the bail order until Friday after the Sena MP was granted bail, argued with the court in this regard. However, the court turned down the ED's argument.

The ED then stated that it would approach the Bombay High Court to request the cancellation of the bail order as well as an interim order for a stay on the same, even though Raut's attorney stated that they would attempt to finish the necessary paperwork by Wednesday evening to facilitate his release from custody.
