Today, MP Sambhaji Raje ended his fast-unto-death for the Maratha reservation. The MP chose the MVA government's announcement of a series of new policies today. Dilip Walse-Patil, Eknath Shinde, and Amit Deshmukhat Azad Maidan read the decisions to him.

MVA has made the following decisions:

1. A proposal to generate a majority of SEBC, ESBC and EWS positions.
2. Sarathi and Annasaheb Patil Economic Backward Development Corporation requests

On Saturday, he sat on the "fast unto death" at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai. On Monday, the Maratha leader's blood pressure and sugar levels both plummeted. Several Maratha organizations have threatened agitation in support of the BJP-nominated MP. Senior Maha Vikas Aghadi ministers, including NCP's Dilip Walse Patil, Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde, and Congress' Amit Deshmukh, met with the MP and promised to meet his demands in a "time-bound" manner. Shinde handed out the pledges linked to employment, farmer credit, and students to a crowd gathered at the protest location.

"Your demands have been carefully reviewed by the government. I strongly advise you to calm down "Shinde informed the demonstrator's leader. Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje dropped his agitation after receiving the assurance. Earlier in the day, many Maratha leaders from various political parties, as well as members of the warkari community, met with the MP at the protest site. Last May, the Supreme Court declared the Maratha quota in jobs and education unconstitutional because it exceeded the 50% reservation ceiling.
