BJP: Ruling MVA has not yet addressed farmers woes, will hold a State wide agitation
Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections 2022. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) declared that their party will conduct a state-wide agitation on Monday to express their anguish on the ruling Shiv Sena for its failure in addressing the problems faced by the farmers due to excess rainfall.

While interacting with the media, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Chief Spokesperson Keshav Upadhye stated that they have come up with a plan of conducting a protest by wearing black bands on their shoulders in public places. “The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to conduct a protest all over the state of Maharashtra by wearing black bands in public places. In this protest the local leaders will be submitting a memorandum of demands at the concerned government offices,” stated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Spokesperson.

The main goal of the protest is aiming at the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government consisting of Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the state of Maharashtra, the reason being no compensation for farmers who lost their crops due to heavy rainfall.

Further, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader stated that the state government continuously states that they will be giving the compensation but the damage assessment has not yet been done in some villages, still the farmers have not received their compensation. Taking a jibe at the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stated that it feels as if the ruling government in the state is more concerned about the son of Actors than the problems which are being faced by the farmers.
