Raj Thackeray's loudspeaker comment, according to state Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chairman and Water Resources Minister Jayant Patil, was a "deliberate attempt" to foment communal strife in the state. People will now notice AIMIM head Asaduddin Owaisi's appearance in the picture, he stated.

"Intentional attempt to incite communal strife in the state. After Raj Thackeray, Owaisi will make his appearance in the picture in the coming days. It's an attempt to create a communal schism and unrest in the state "Patil stated. Patil was responding to Raj Thackeray's threat to "install loudspeakers in front of mosques and play Hanuman Chalisa" if the state government did not remove the loudspeakers from mosques by May 3.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, on the other side, dubbed Raj Thackeray a new "Hindu Owaisi" and MNS a "New Hindutva MIM."
According to Raut, the BJP is behind the requests for removing loudspeakers from mosques and reciting the Hanuman Chalisa, and intelligence reports reveal that a scheme is underway to generate communal unrest in Maharashtra and that the MVA administration should be dismissed by President's rule.

"They plan to set up loudspeakers in front of mosques and recite the Hanuman Chalisa. This work has been issued a contract. They'll recite Hanuman Chalisa in front of mosques, then the actual Owaisi (AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi) will appear, and the whole affair will end in rioting," he said.
