Sharad Pawar, the president of the National Congress Party (NCP), appealed to his party on Sunday to adapt to the changing socio-political landscape, saying that social reformers such as Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Jyotirao Phule, and Dr. B R Ambedkar's vision and ideologies remained the guiding light for the future.

Pawar claimed that the three social reformers' ideals and philosophies - Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Jyotirao Phule, and Ambedkar - formed the backbone of his party. The vision and philosophies of these three towering people, according to Pawar, who served as Maharashtra's chief minister three times, are an inspiration for political workers.
