“Our country provides a right called right to protest, as per that right the farmers gathered in Lakhimpur Kheri and were holding a silent protest. Then came the power from the UP government or say Centre government after which they tried to suppress the voice of the protestors and then mowed down by a jeep, which led to an accident and around 6 to 8 farmers lost their lives, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is responsible for this whole act.,” stated Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) soon after UP Police charged Union Minister of state Ajay Mishra and his son over the charge of murder and criminal conspiracy in the massacre that was led out in Lakhimpur Kheri. The allegations were made by the farmers present on the spot stating that Ashish Mowed down four cultivators with the SUV at the time of protests that took place on Sunday and led out violence.
