Nationalist Congress Party
supremo Sharad Pawar had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today morning. The meeting lasted for close to 1 hour. The meeting becomes very important after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also met the Prime Minister last month.
The reason behind the meeting is not yet clear but there have been different deliberations that are going on. In the past few weeks, there were references of Prashant Kishore meeting the opposition parties trying to get Sharad Pawar as the candidate for the president of the country could it also be about the different aspects with regards to the State of Maharashtra and its projects.
Two important reasons are to be held responsible for the meeting one being the recent formation of the Cooperative Ministry and the Prime Minister not liking the contribution of Sharad Pawar in the agriculture and cooperative sector. What is being deliberated is that the meeting is about the newly formed cooperative departments in the centre.
In the recent tweet, the NCP Sharad Pawar said, “Met the Hon. Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi. We discussed different issues of national interest.” This meeting comes 2 days before the Parliament's Monsoon session which will commence on Monday. Sharad Pawar who is the expert leader known for his sharpness in politics is the main maker of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the State of Maharashtra and he is seen as the essence for any future opposition alliance against the Bhartiya Janata Party
(BJP). The experienced NCP leader is known for his good relations with many politicians all over the party affiliations.
