NCP and Congress in Mumbai, express support towards Bharat Bandh held on 27th September
The September 27 Bharat Bandh protest to be held against the policies that have been framed for agriculture by the central government, notices the support of Mumbai Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). The Mumbai Congress Chief Bhai Jagtap supported this move by stating that false promises are given by the Union Government and the way it performs its functions is a dictatorial manner.

He further slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government, stating that the government has introduced three farm laws and is selling all the banks, airports, ports to industrialists. The other party supporting this move in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) expressed its support when its spokesperson Mahesh Tapse stated, “When the anti-farm laws were introduced and passed, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) had made up its mind that they were on the farmer’s side. This was an initiative taken by the Kisan Andolan which we are supporting.”

For that matter Mumbai Youth Congress has organized, representational tractor protest against the farm to mark the Bharat Bandh at Kherwadi signal in Bandra East stated Zeeshan Siddique the Mumbai Youth Congress Chief. A total of 50 trains were affected due to the Bharat Bandh, the railways after it announced that all services have been restored. This shutdown due to Bharat Bandh had disrupted lives all over the parts of India, especially in the north.

The Highways were being blocked by the protestors which were lifted at 4 pm. Congress asked the Prime Minister to have a talk with the farmers across the country and listen to their reasonable issues. Further, the anguished Congress said that instead of having a talk and understanding the issues of the farmers the government was trying to portray them as enemies, which is triggering the farmers and hence carrying out this move.
