MVA replaced Raju Shetti from the list of 12 MLC’s?

The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra, is speculated to have urged the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to replace one of the names from the list of 12 people who were nominated for an appointment for the post of Member of Legislative Council (MLC).

 

Soon after the delegation of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, comprising of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray from Shiv Sena, with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the State Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat from Congress party met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Wednesday evening, the speculation of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) submitting a new list is being made. 

 

The speculations of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government urging the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to remove the name of Farmer Leader Raju Shetti from the list of the 12 member for the appointment of Member of Legislative Council (MLC) is being made. Raju Shetti is a former parliamentarian and leads the political outfit named Swabhimani Paksha. His name in the list was suggested by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) quota but recently his statements against the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition have made the party upset.

 

The member who will be in place of Raju Shetti, has not yet been disclosed. It has been more than 20 days since the High Court had asked the Maharashtra Governor to pass on the list before the due time, for the appointment of 12 Member of Legislative Council (MLC). This has sparked a rift between the three-party coalition government comprising Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress and the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, as the state cabinet had already approved the names for the appointment, but still, they have not been appointed because of the delay being done by the Maharashtra Governor.
