Senior NCP leader and nephew of party supremo, Ajit Pawar, said that if the NCP was voted to power in the upcoming BMC Polls 2017, his party will provide template for development of the metropolis.
Ajit Pawar added that all the civic bodies run by the NCP are functioning well without any irregularities.
The former Maharashtra Minister said traffic woes and unplanned dumping of garbage are some of the issues the Shiv Sena-BJP ruled BMC has “failed” to address.
The civic employees in Nagpur, where the civic body is run by the BJP, are not being paid their salaries. In Nashik, people are fed up with the Raj Thackeray-led
MNS whom they had voted to power in 2012, Pawar alleged.
But people of Pune and adjoining township of Pimpri- Chinchwad, where the civic bodies are ruled by the NCP, are happy with the partys performance, he claimed.
“If Mumbaikars give power to us, we will show them what development is all about,” Pawar maintained.
The
NCP leader said farmers and the common man are fed up with the policies of the BJP-led Government in Maharashtra.
