On Wednesday, the Nationalist Congress Party and the Shinde camp exchanged barbs over Sharad Pawar's alleged role in shattering the Shiv Sena over the previous three decades. Deepak Kesarkar, a spokesman for the Shinde camp who previously belonged to the NCP before joining the Shiv Sena, asserted that Pawar was responsible for the division within the Shiv Sena, particularly when Chagan Bhujbal, Narayan Rane, and Raj Thackeray split up in the past.

Why did he defy the Shiv Sena, you ask? When Balasaheb Thackeray was alive, why was he tortured? Kesarkar stated that Pawar should respond to the Maharashtrians as well. Sharad Pawar and Chagan Bhujbal were instrumental in getting Narayan Rane to leave the Shiv Sena. Raj Thackeray, who quit the party to start his organisation, had also received his blessing, he continued.

Kesarkar also made fun of Pawar for saying that new political developments would occur in the future and that people had not liked the change in Maharashtra's Government. "Pawar needs to stop dreaming." He said people are content with the new administration led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Mahesh Tapase, the state NCP's chief spokesperson, criticised Kesarkar for accusing Pawar of violating Shiv Sena. "It is a careless statement made by the "illegal" Shinde government's spokesman. Balasaheb Thackeray has been seriously wounded by rebel Shiv Sena MLAs who submitted to Devendra Fadnavis. Sharad Pawar, on the other hand, has tried his best to preserve the self-esteem of Shiv Sainiks as well as his friendship (with Thackeray)," he added.

Furthermore, according to Tapase, Kesarkar conveniently overlooked the fact that after Devendra Fadnavis reprimanded the Sena, Pawar organised the Maha Vikas Aghadi, uniting the three parties Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP, and gave the Sena the position of Chief Minister.
