The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena blasted Sharad Pawar and the NCP on Sunday, a day after Raj Thackeray accused them of "playing caste-based politics in the state." "The politics of Maharashtra revolves around Sharad Pawar, and you cannot achieve without including him," Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Jitendra Awhad told India Today. As a result, to get attention and make headlines, he accused our leader," Awhad explained.

"Show us if the state has had caste-based rioting." He lacks knowledge of the state's history and should read novels like Prabodhankar Thackeray, he remarked. Mr. Awhad also addressed Raj Thackeray's attitude on mosque loudspeakers and the threat of loudspeakers with double volume playing Hanuman Chalisa.

This is the same individual who, until a few years ago, claimed to have the whole blueprint for the state's future. Is this the kind of growth he envisions for Maharashtra's youth?" he inquired. Mr. Thackeray had also expressed questions about the Madrasas' effectiveness, prompting the NCP leader to accuse Mr. Thackeray of drawing the police into the matter.

"Will the cops sit quietly if they find out something unlawful is going on?" Why should the cops be drawn into such politics unnecessarily? I defy Raj Thackeray to find even a shaving razor in any Madarsa, and if he does, I will resign from politics," he stated.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra's deputy chief minister, Ajit Pawar, has accused Raj Thackeray of changing colours faster than a chameleon. He claimed that Thackeray is only capable of mimicking and criticising others. Pawar replied, "He turns extremely swiftly."
