Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray has made it clear that he does not accept Eknath Shinde, who staged a coup with 39 other party legislators, as the Shiv Sena Chief Minister. However, party leader Deepali Sayed courted controversy by claiming that Thackeray and Shinde have agreed to meet and resolve their differences. She added that some
BJP leaders are serving as mediators for the forthcoming meeting between Thackeray and Shinde.
Sayed posted in Marathi on Twitter: "I'm glad to hear that Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde will meet in the next two days with consideration for Shiv Sainik sentiment. In his capacity as the head of the family, Thackeray accepted Shinde's understanding of the sainiks' emotions with open arms. For this meeting, some BJP leaders are mediating."
She has included Thackeray, Shinde, and unusually, BJP officials Pankaja Munde and Vinod Tawde in her tweet. However, the party has rejected Sayed's claims, claiming that they are solely personal and that she holds no significant positions within the party.
Sanjay Raut, a party member, claimed he was unaware of any such development. I'm not aware of such a development (any meeting between Uddhav and Shinde). I contribute very little to the party, Raut acknowledged.
A well-known Marathi actress is Sayed. In 2019, she joined the Shiv Sena, and in the Thane district's Mumbra-Kalwa constituency, she ran unsuccessfully for the Maharashtra Assembly. She ran for office in 2014 from the Ahmednagar district on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) slate, but she was unsuccessful.
