At the first Dussehra gathering on Wednesday at the BKC grounds, Maharashtra Chief Minister and
Shiv Sena Chief Leader Eknath Shinde intensified his criticism of his former boss and Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, saying that he sold his father and sold his ideas. Uddhav accused them of being traitors, but Shinde responded, "We did not do "Gaddari," we did "Gadar" (rebellion)."
In his jab at Uddhav, Shinde stated, "Maharashtra voters chose you and BJP in Assembly elections, but you betrayed people by allying with Congress and NCP." Should we now refer to you as traitors since you opposed your father's Hindutva? Shinde questioned.
He emphasized that Uddhav abandoned Hindutva in order to gain power. Balasaheb had remarked, "Garv se kaho hum Hindu hain." However, because of our affiliation with the
NCP and Congress, we were forced to abandon Hindutva. Many people, according to Shinde, were unhappy with the MVA government's establishment. "You kept observing the withering of the party with wide eyes because you wanted to finish your tenure as CM," he accused.
In response to Uddhav's sly jab, Shinde retaliated. "The legacy of ideology is Balasaheb's genuine legacy. Our philosophy won't alter. Although it happened in 2019, betrayal has occurred. Photos of Babasaheb Thackeray and Narendra Modi were combined throughout the campaign. You betrayed the Maharashtrian people. What we did was a revolution," he said.
Shinde vehemently denied Uddhav's assertion that he was eager to seize control of the Shiv Sena and the position of party leader. I have no desire for authority, nor have I ever considered it,' he declared. Shinde claimed that the RSS had contributed significantly to the development of the nation and charged Uddhav with caving in to pressure from
Congress and NCP. He questioned his silence over the shouts of "Pakistan zindabad" that were being raised. "Some urged that RSS be banned.
This is absurd," he remarked. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received accolades from Shinde, who said, "You (Uddhav) make fun of a chaiwala who became the Prime Minister. You stated that the party was winding down. That party is the one without a president. And here is a president without a political party. He mentioned how PM Modi had realised Balasaheb's wishes for the Ram Mandir and the repeal of Article 370. He said, "Modi realised Balasaheb's dream.
