Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis: BJP and Shiv Sena may have differences but are not rivals
Recently, Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik who has been under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate for the last few months in a statement said that the party should join hands again to save its leaders from being troubled by the central agencies. In a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray- Sarnaik has said that former alliance partners must patch up before it is too late, especially for the many upcoming corporate elections including those of Mumbai and Thane.

There has been an interesting development in Maharashtra politics since then, on Sunday, the former Maharashtra Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis did not reject a later tie-up with previous ally Shiv Sena. “Righteous decision will be made based on the circumstances”, said Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. After the Maharashtra assembly elections in 2019, the Shiv Sena left the BJP and established a coalition government with the NCP and Congress.

“Our friend fought the 2019 Assembly elections with us, but after elections joined hands with the people against whom we were fighting the polls,” said Fadnavis. Before what Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut tried to let go “rumors” about the meeting with BJP leader Ashish Shelar on Saturday. “As the rumours are spreading MVA is becoming more strong, there may be ideological and political differences but when we meet face to face at public functions, we will greet cordially”, said Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. The Maharashtra Congress prompted that the Maha Vikas Aghadi association with Shiv Sena and NCP is not for a long time and indicated to go solo in future elections.
