Uddhav Thackeray, the Shiv Sena President and Chief Minister, will address a rally on May 14 at BKC grounds amid a barrage of allegations. He is anticipated to kick off the party's campaign for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections, as well as take on his former allies, the BJP and MNS, led by his estranged cousin Raj Thackeray, who is attacking Shiv Sena on Hindutva and the removal of loudspeakers from mosques.

On May 14, he is also set to launch the Shiv Sampark Abhiyan. At the event, the party is expected to demonstrate its strength and declare its commitment to Hindutva and Marathi Manoos. The timing is crucial because the BJP, which has started Mission 2022 to beat the Shiv Sena in the BMC elections, is holding a "Booster Dose" event on May 1 at Somaiya ground in north central Mumbai, which will be addressed by former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. MNS chief Raj Thackeray, on the other hand, will speak at an Aurangabad rally on May 1 after speaking at two previous rallies in Dadar and Thane. Both the BJP and the MNS are shooting salvos at Thackeray and the Shiv Sena for abandoning Hindutva in favour of secularism in order to stay in power.

Thackeray and the Shiv Sena, on the other hand, have slammed the BJP, accusing it of manipulating Hindutva to achieve power. Thackeray is anticipated to underline that the Shiv Sena has broken its ties with the BJP but has not abandoned Hindutva. Thackeray will also use the occasion to intensify his attacks on the BJP-led government in Delhi for deploying central inquiry agencies against Maha Vikas Aghadi leaders in an attempt to tarnish Maharashtra. He is anticipated to take on the Centre for Maharashtra's stepmotherly treatment.
