Attacking the opposition BJP
, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday stated that now he is used to the criticisms and only gets frightened if someone compliments him. “Thapad se dar nahi lagta” stated the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray at an event in Mumbai’s Worli. The event was attended by the Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar and many other ministers of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. The Chief Minister went on to say that “There are some people who want to slap us, in response we will give them such a slap that they will not be able to get up again.”
This response by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray came after a recent statement given by the BJP MLC Prasad Lad, where he allegedly stated about bulldozing the Shiv Sena
Bhavan. Prasad Lad was addressing the workers of the BJP in Mahim on Saturday.
“Whenever we are visiting here, there is the huge deployment of the police force, they are so scared. They think that if we come to Mahim we will demolish the Shiv Sena Bhavan. So they don’t need to get scared because in the right time we will do it too,” stated Prasad Lad. Later on, he shared a video on his Twitter handle stating that he was misquoted and that he has huge respect for the late Balasaheb Thackeray. The Shiv Sena Bhavan is a holy place associated with Balasaheb Thackeray.
He further stated that the context in which the statement was made was on the attack which took place on the BJP workers last month outside the Sena Bhavan, if such attacks are done by the Sena workers we will not keep mum. The context in which I made the statement was the attack on BJP workers last month outside Sena Bhavan.
After the statement was given by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the Former Chief Minister and opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis stated, “We never use the language of tod phod, this is not the culture of the BJP but if someone attacks us we would not leave the.”
