BMC Elections 2022
Raj Thackeray, the leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, instructed his party members on Tuesday to step up preparations as the polls might occur four months after their announcement to run alone in the BMC elections. He specifically mentioned the Uddhav Thackeray-led party, stating that attempts would be made to appeal to pity but that they would be ineffective. Raj emphasised that the party will contest the civic body elections on its own and urged the party members to be upbeat. All BMC seats will have candidates from MNS.

Former corporator and MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande said his party chairman made a compelling case for interacting with people constructively. He added that the party leader said, "There is false propaganda that they are garnering sympathy," without naming anyone. People will cry when we cry, causing them to blink. There is no such sympathy wave. He continued by pointing out that the MNS leader had asserted that compassion for Uddhav Thackeray, particularly in light of recent political happenings, was a delusion and wouldn't be to his advantage.

"Be positive, I will see we assume control in BMC," the MNS head has clearly assured the party members, according to Deshpande.
Following Balasaheb Thackeray's founding of the Shiv Sena, there were ups and downs, wins and losses. But he never shed a tear or became downcast after he lost. Deshpande quoted Raj Thackeray as saying, "We (MNS) also saw victories and disappointments, but we did not grieve but maintained our battle. Raj Thackeray has voiced the opinion that we will have the greatest victory in the upcoming elections, the speaker continued. Deshpande claimed that the MNS leader had informed the party's supporters that the public has a favourable opinion of the organisation and that it must be cashed in.
