With the Eknath Shinde-led group, BJP established administration and has since chosen to hold elections for the BMC. The BJP has been having second thoughts, despite having an alliance partner. The saffron party is hoping to partner with the Raj Thackeray-led MNS because it is unsure if this alliance can help it win the BMC elections in 2022. In a bitter election campaign in 2017, the Shiv Sena narrowly lost its bid to keep control of the BMC. Recently, Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister, Ashish Shelar, and Chandrashekar Bawankule, the head of the Maharashtra BJP, met with Raj Thackeray.

It appears that Prithviraj Chavan, the Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, is no longer needed by the Congress party. The former G-23 member recently stated that Congress members who are in charge of making choices should exercise caution. In order to take on the NCP, Chavan, who was close to former CM Ashok Chavan, was appointed as his chief successor. The fact that Chavan has not been given any new official duties for the past two years shows that Congress currently views him as irrelevant. In any case, Chavan is no longer seen favourably by the Gandhis, and he does not anticipate continuing to express his worry and covert support for Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been persuaded by Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole to forgive the $3.50 million property taxes on his mansion in front of the Mantralaya. Since taking office as speaker of the Maharashtra state house in December 2019, the state president of the Congress has made this home his official residence. After leaving his position as speaker in February 2021, the leader continued to reside in this same home. He also demanded a few months ago that his official house become the new Congress office. Does this imply that his ambitions to convert the bungalow into an office and residence might come to pass?
