BJP counter-attacks Raut over Former IPS Officer Param Bir Singh’s escape from the Country
Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections 2022, attack, counter-attack, war of words and blame game continues between opposition and ruling parties in the State of Maharashtra. In a recent allegation, the Shiv Sena Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut stated the Former IPS Officer Param Bir Singh has not absconded but was asked to leave the country and centre has helped him do so.

Soon after this statement from Sena Spokesperson Raut came, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) counter-attacked with Ashish Shelar the party leader stating that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in the State of Maharashtra would have helped him escape and he is being prepared to seek political asylum in a western country.

“If such a big step is being taken by the person who once served the state with the post which is equivalent to the Director General of Police, this cannot be done without the support of Union Government, he hasn’t escaped but was asked to go out of the country,” stated Shiv Sena Spokesperson Sanjay Raut alleging that the arrest of former home minister Anil Deshmukh was unethical.

Further, alleging Raut stated that the former Home Minister of Maharashtra is arrested because of the allegations levelled by Param Bir Singh, this is very unethical and wrong, the probe can be done after the allegations but Deshmukh was arrested on the first day of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe.

Responding to this the allegation was levelled by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shelar, stating that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government may have helped the former police officer to escape, as he may reveal actions done by the ministers in the state.
