BJP attacks Shiv Sena for not resuming Temples and Religious places
As the cases decline in the state of Maharashtra the Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena government eased the curbs gradually with the opening of parks, gardens then maximizing the timing for dine-in services for restaurants, hotels and with it came the permission for travel in local trains for the general public who have been vaccinated with both the doses of the Covid 19 vaccine.

Attacking the Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena, BJP on Tuesday raised questions on the reopening of temples all over the state. This is seen as an attempt by the BJP to corner the Shiv Sena party for what has not been done yet. The Former Chief Minister and BJP leader stated that the temples should be opened following all protocols. Attacking the Shiv Sena, the BJP legislature from Mumbai, Ram Kadam, stated that “this is an attempt of the Shiv Sena to muzzle the voice of Hindus.

The Former Chief Minister and BJP leader stated that “It is not at all understandable that why the government has not reopened temples, I believe that less crowd will be noticed in temples than in restaurants, malls and bars. The temples can be reopened following all the necessary protocols. It was stated by me earlier too that there is not only one reason for reopening of temples but there are people whose livelihoods are dependent on temple-related activities.”

As the cases declined last year the state government started resuming activities, with temples being shut, BJP leader then came out with many protests against the decision of the government. In the recent past, too BJP Chief of Maharashtra Chandrakant Patil had warned the state government of agitation if the government fails to resume temples. Kadam further alleging stated that the reason why the government has opened Malls and restaurants is that they give donations to the government.

Responding to these allegations the Shiv Sena legislature and spokesperson Manisha Kayande stated that “The demand of BJP will be reopening of all activities but they will never follow the Covid 19 protocols. A recent yatra by the BJP called Jan Ashirwad Yatra where no ministers were seen wearing a mask which is a Covid super spreader. The activities which have been resumed by the government were very important as many livelihoods depend on it. The government will soon decide on resuming temples and religious places but we will not do this under their pressure.”
