BJP again attacks Shiv Sena playing Marathi Manoos card
As the days for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections 2022 approach, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not leaving any stone unturned to slam its opposition in the state, Shiv Sena. The ruling body in the state of Maharashtra collaborated with Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) forming Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government.

In a recent attack from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Shiv Sena has been alleged of neglecting Marathi Manoos and that they are being forced to leave the city of Mumbai. The allegation further stated that the Marathi community was being backed in many places whether it is an internal post for Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) or compensation amount for people or selection of contractors for all the projects in the city.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ignited the rift when last month a non-Marathi employee was selected to the post claimed by a Marathi officer on basis of seniority. Soon after this came out the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state of Maharashtra, arranged a press conference and slammed the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena Government.

The issue again came to light when the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) took back a proposal for the development of houses for sanitation workers. “A total of twelve projects came for discussion under the standing committee, we were against all the proposals because of some issues on them, but the Shiv Sena cleared all of the 11 proposals and had not cleared one proposal that of Marathi contractor and also he had quoted the lowest amount, not also did the Shiv Sena give any explanation about not selecting the Marathi contractor,” stated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prabhakar Shinde.
