Even while the Maha Vikas Aghadi partners and the BJP were swapping accusations of corruption, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "PM gained hearts of people via his development agenda." Those who speak about development are given a chance. People who are interested in controversies are few."

When asked about the BJP's announcement to expose MVA ministers' alleged involvement in scams, Pawar said, "You keep asking such questions again and again, but there are very few people who are interested in these controversies, people allow those who talk about development, PM Modi also won the hearts of the people through his development agenda when he came to power. He went on to say, "I only work for development."

Pawar further stated that he will attend the PM's March 6 visit to Pune, when he will open the Pune metro and other infrastructure projects as the Pune District Guardian Minister. Ajit Pawar's support for PM Modi comes just days after his uncle, NCP President Sharad Pawar, commended the PM's way of working, adding that once he takes on a task, he sees to it that it is accomplished.

Modi, according to Pawar senior, puts forth a lot of work and offers enough time to get things done. "His is such a hard-working as a person that once he gets started on a task, he will not stop it " "He has a solid handle on administration, which is his strong suit," Pawar remarked. Furthermore, the NCP Chief stated that if the administration's actions are not in line with the common man's expectations, then hard work alone will not suffice because the results cannot be overlooked, he said.
