BJP plans rallies in Maharashtra ahead of Civic Polls
As the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections 2022 approach all parties in the state of Maharashtra gear up. Recently a new appointment in the Union Cabinet has been made of Narayan Rane who looks forward to an immense rally. The plan of a massive rally that has been made by Narayan Rane will cover the distance from the city of Mumbai to his hometown which is in Sindhudurg. The rally has been planned for the third week of August with a plan of stopping at several areas falling between the route.

This move by the former Shiv Sainik appears to be an effort to mobilize his followers as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2022 approach. From the start point of his massive rally that is the city of Mumbai where he plans to garland the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Park and will also pay homage at the Balasaheb Thackeray memorial there. This ground canvassing becomes very significant as in the next 18 months more than a dozen municipal corporations which include the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as well as many municipal councils and Zilla Parishad are all ready to go to polls.

As a preparation, the BJP too has started making its booths which are more than 90,000 across the state of Maharashtra stronger. After a massive reshuffle in July Narayan Rane was inducted into PM Modi’s Council of Ministers. Narayan Rane was inducted as the Cabinet Minister with a portfolio of micro, small and medium enterprises. This rally by Narayan Rane will be the longest and the most elaborate one. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been ruled by Shiv Sena for around two decades now but in the elections last time it was neck to neck with the BJP winning just two corporator more in 2017.
