“The MLA had asked to register an FIR against the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), but as of now we haven’t done it, first the incident needs to be investigated,” stated the police officer. With this, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Mumbai leader Preeti Sharma Menon too took on this matter and alleged the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stating that it was a shocking death of a woman when people wanted medical care, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was “only troubled with drama and PR”..

Disapproving all the allegations, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) took to the two parties and stated that the “seven-month pregnant woman was admitted to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on September 27 and on the same day her blood reports were sent for testing after here reports came out it was decided by the doctors at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation that she should be shifted to Sawarkar Hospital due to her deteriorating health condition.

The relatives of the lady couldn’t reach the hospital on time and she was shifted to Sawarkar hospital without informing the local police about it. It was also advised from the Sawarkar hospital that she should be shifted to the Nair hospital, still, her relatives were unavailable. By the time they reached the hospital her health became more critical,” stated the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official in a statement.
