Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut stated that unwillingness to accept national honours has increased in the recent 5 to 6 years after former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya declined to accept the Padma Bhushan on Tuesday. "In Bengal, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee is a powerful figure. Leaders like Bhattacharya not only gain respect while alive, but they also gain love when they pass away. This time, three more people have declined the honours. Since the last 5 to 6 years, the number of awards refused has increased ", Sanjay Raut stated.

"Ghulam Nabi Azad has also been provided and he has accepted it, which is a wonderful thing," Raut stated in response to Kapil Sibal's tweet. "Buddhadev Battacharya turned down Padma Bhushan," he continued. This is all we know about it. There's a schism in their party, but I can't say much more." "Living individuals are not granted honours," Raut stated, criticising Congress. I was curious why Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi did not tweet anything about Balasaheb Thackeray Jayanti." "I was saddened to hear this, and I was startled, but when I read the list of Padma recipients, I was disappointed that Balasaheb, who was so well-liked, had not received the Padma award."

In response to Satyapal Singh's remark on corruption, Raut stated, "He emphasized the subject of corruption as governor. Goa's government is the most corrupt in the country. Every step is tainted with corruption." " The BJP made a deplorable remark about Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He did, however, visit Shivaji Park today."
