Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena MP, attacked the BJP on Tuesday over recent communal confrontations on the celebration of Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti, claiming that such episodes will cause an economic catastrophe in India that will be worse than Ukraine and Sri Lanka. He claimed that the violence in the capital was being orchestrated in order to win the upcoming municipal elections in Delhi.

"Trade and employment are lost as a result of riots. Working-class employment is dwindling, and the country appears to be heading towards a crisis. The Indian economy would deteriorate to the point that it will be comparable to that of Sri Lanka and Ukraine "He asserted. Raut also said that plans are being made to generate a riot-like situation in the country's major cities.

The communal confrontations, according to Raut, would have a direct influence on the country's economy. Although the economy has begun to recover following the coronavirus outbreak, certain individuals are attempting to sow discord. "It's extremely regrettable how the environment of riots has been generated in two big cities across the country," he remarked. In Delhi, Municipal Elections are expected, and everything is being done in order to win those elections. The same thing happened in Mumbai, and the subject of loudspeakers was brought up here," Raut added.
