Wankhede is doing good work and making his department proud, just being targeted: NCSC Vice-Chairperson

Sameer Wankhede, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal officer whose name is being put in every other allegation by the number of ministers, some against him and some standing by him. In a recent statement the Vice-Chairperson of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has stated out that amid all these allegations put on Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede, he still is doing great work and making his department proud. 

 

“An officer who is striving to excel in his department by doing his duty and making everyone proud, so why a minister and how is he trying to personally attack him and his family? This is a matter of great concern, a probe should be done into this matter as to why such allegations are being done by the minister,” stated Arun Halder after he visited Sameer Wankhede at his home. 

 

The statement has come at a time when Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik has not stopped levelling allegations against the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal officer Sameer Wankhede. Soon after the allegations of his caste were levelled on him, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal officer Sameer Wankhede stated that he has shared every required document with the Commission officials. His wife also stated that Halder has checked every document of their caste when he visited and was convinced of her husband’s stand on this matter. 

 

Soon after Sameer Wankhede’s family met Union Minister and Republican Party of India President Ramdas Athawale he extended his support towards him stating that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik should now refrain from giving any statements against Sameer and his family members to defame him.
