'Understand the severity of the matter,' Sharad Pawar urges the Centre, following the death of a Karnataka student in Kharkiv, Ukraine

Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), expressed his condolences for an Indian student killed in shelling in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on Tuesday, and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government to "understand the gravity of the situation.
The former Union Minister took to Twitter to say, "My heartfelt condolences go out to the family of our Indian student Naveen Shekharappa, who was killed in a shelling strike in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Thousands of our students are stranded in Ukraine due to severe weather and a lack of food."
"I implore the Central Government and External Affairs Minister, Shri S. Jaishankar Ji, to recognize the gravity of the issue, as well as the students' and their families' urgent suffering and distress. The Indian government must expedite rescue attempts to get the stranded students out as soon as possible" Added he.
Earlier in the day, Congressman Rahul Gandhi expressed his condolences for the tragedy and urged the government to devise a plan for the safe evacuation of all stranded Indians. "I stress that the GOI (Government of India) requires a planned evacuation strategy. Ever
Naveen Shekarappa Gyanagoudar, the student, was from Chalageri in the Haveri district of Karnataka. Gyanagoudar's relatives and friends received condolences from the Congress party. It also urged the government to speed up the evacuation of Indians trapped in Ukraine's civil strife.
"We are heartbroken to learn of the untimely death of an Indian student in Ukraine. We once again ask the Government of India (GOI) to ensure that our people are evacuated quickly and safely "In a tweet, it was noted. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress National Secretary, expressed her condolences for the student's death and urged the government to return Indians stuck in Ukraine as soon as possible.
