Shivsena is trying its level best to aim at BMC 2022 elections and for which it started a slogan
which stated "Mumbai ma Jalebi Na Fafda, Uddhav Thackeray aapda." It is mainly focusing on
making a way to the hearts of the Gujarati community.
The Gujarati community in Mumbai is mostly from the Suburbs which includes Goregaon, kurla,
Andheri and is making sure to impress them with such tactics. The 2022 polls are of great
importance to the Sena which has been the ruling civic party for decades now.
However since the 2017 elections, BJP and Sena alliance had a difference of just two seats,
Shivsena with 84 and BJP with 82, have now parted different ways and are now going to contest
individually.
And to gain the control, Sena is trying its level best. The is well prepared with
the 2022 polls and has already made its Gujrati wing with the convener Hemraj Singh who
said BJP was desperate to oust Sena from the BMC, “so it will be prestigious election for Sena."
According to Amit Shah,
BJP is upset as Uddhav Thackeray teamed up with NCP - Congress to
deny power to BJP and its Guajarati leadership which did not give a chance to Marathi
leadership in the state. On top of it, Thackeray has managed to overcome the Covid-19 crises
which made the BJP unhappy.’’
Talking about the Sena's Marathi agenda, Shah said, "It was the late supreme Balasaheb
Thackeray who protected the community during the 1992-93 riots.’’
