Tussle between the BJP and Sena continues, this time over swimming pool

The tussle between the BJP and Sena was once again evident when the latter boycotted a BMC function held in Dahisar in which Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was the chief guest.

The Sena did not stay far behind in laying out accusations with Mumbai Mayor Snehal Ambekar accusing its ally of taking away the credit solely for the swimming pool-gymnasium project in Dahisar. She said that it was the BMC which had allocated funds for this project and that a proper invite was not given to the Sena by the CM for the event.

This ongoing tussle between the two allies assumes a lot of political significance, with the BMC Polls 2017 just over 5 months away. The two parties are yet to decide whether to contest the Mumbai civic polls as allies or to go solo.
