Saiprasad Pednekar, son of former city Mayor Kishori Pednekar, has been called before a sessions court in connection with alleged fraud by a business of which he serves as an Additional Director. According to a decision made on Tuesday by Additional Sessions Judge Dr. A.A. Joglekar, Kish Corporate Services India Pvt Ltd is the subject of a prima facie case, and a study of the complaint and the supporting documentation by the Company's Directors establishes that.

The corporation, two further directors, and two Additional Directors were all named as defendants in the complaint that the Deputy Registrar of companies filed. The filing of fraudulent documents is allegedly made, which is against Section 448 of the Companies Act. An email received by a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, alleging that the corporation had submitted fabricated and misleading documents to the registrar of companies in order to establish and incorporate the company, prompted the filing of the complaint. It said that they later altered the company's registered address and falsified the owner's signature.

The company had received a show cause notice from the registrar of companies, who found the company's responses to be evasive and consequently filed a complaint for a violation of the Companies Act. The BJP leader had filed an affidavit in support of his allegation in a public interest lawsuit he had brought before the Bombay High Court. One director, Mr. Prashant Gavas, stated in the affidavit that the business had submitted a fake leasing agreement to change the registration address. The court took this affidavit into account and determined that the firm and its directors are, at the very least, accountable for the alleged submission of counterfeit and false documents as well as other offences that fall under the purview of the Companies Act.
