In a virtual meeting which is going to be conducted by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray will also be participating on August 20 stated the Shiv Sena leader and chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut. The virtual meeting between the coalition of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is speculated to be an attempt to merge the Opposition’s unity against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Central government.
 
Non-BJP ruled states to have been invited by the Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the virtual meeting including West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister MK Stalin and Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren. With them, Sharad Pawar the Nationalist Congress Party Chief Sharad Pawar could also be attending the virtual meeting.  
 
“The opposition is united and we will never stop building our strength. A meeting was held at Congress leader Kapil Sibal Ji’s house where Congress President had convinced all the leaders including Chief Ministers and also Maharashtra CM, will participate in it,” stated Sanjay Raut. 
 
In a recently concluded monsoon session of the Parliament, a total of 15 Opposition parties came together and took many issues related to Pegasus snooping, increasing the price of the fuels and farmer’s agitation. There were many meetings held by the opposition in Delhi where Sanjay Raut participated on behalf of the Shiv Sena Party.
