Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister, declared on Wednesday that the Maharashtra government would launch a high-level investigation to allow the excluded organisations to participate in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for hire. In response to a query from
BJP lawmaker Sanjay Kute, he also declared that harsh action would be taken against those responsible for the suspected TET scam.
The opposition had already left the state legislature in protest of the Maha government's decision to shield ministers (without mentioning Agricultural Minister Abdul Sattar) in the TET scandal, therefore Fadnavis delivered the statement when they were not present. Ajit Pawar, the leader of the opposition, earlier called the Speaker's attention to a communication he had received from the assembly secretariat regarding the last week's withheld question over the TET scam. Without mentioning Sattar, Pawar had blasted him for recruiting as well as his two daughters for defying convention.
The opposition then organised a walkout. Fadnavis responded by stating that the TET scam occurred while the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was in office. "Whose government was in power when the TET scam occurred? The TET scam occurred under the Mahavikas Aghadi administration, which had an influence on the lives of thousands of young people. The TET swindle encompassed everyone, including the bureaucrat. Mantralayan officers were detained in relation to the TET scam "Fadnavis claimed.
"Abdul Sattar's daughters were not hired through TET. Such information had been made by the TET Commissioner, according to Fadnavis. He criticised the opposition, adding that they make accusations and then go. "This is the first opposition party, which is exposing its era of corruption," he said. "We will not give up, we will offer a befitting reply.
