Naresh Mhaske, a former mayor of Thane and a representative of the Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde faction, criticised the Uddhav Thackeray group on Monday for requesting permission from the authorities for its annual Dussehra gathering in Mumbai's Shivaji Park. The late Bal Thackeray's founding beliefs and ideas, he claimed, had been abandoned by the Thackeray group, which had no right to organize the demonstration.

One of the state's main political gatherings is the Sena's annual Dussehra rally, which was famous for Bal Thackeray's ferocious remarks.
"They (the Balasaheb Thackeray faction) have abandoned his ideas. What authority do they currently have to stage the Dussehra rally? Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister, is the one advancing Balasaheb Thackeray's Hindutva philosophy" Mhaske asserted. When asked by reporters if the Shinde side would try to organize the Dussehra gathering at Shivaji Park, Mhakse responded that the Chief Minister will make that decision.

"You'll discover. We have a right to, "Added he. Thackeray had declared earlier in the day that his party will host the yearly gathering.
"Shiv Sainaiks from various regions of the state have started making preparations to travel to Shivaji Park. The Shiv Sena's annual gathering would take place at Shivaji Park, known as Shivtirth "stated the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
